Founded in 1984, the company Alberto Del Biondi operates in the sector of ‘Made in Italy’ design. In its elegant building in Padua it designs and manufactures mainly prototypes of footwear, bags and accessories.
Alberto Del Biondi employs more than fifty professional designers, stylists and pattern makers, supported by a team of material experts, trend-hunters, market analysts, marketing specialists, graphic and industrial designers and architects, forming an actual ‘creative workshop’ that is unique on both the Italian and the European scenes. Innovation, which is fuelled also through business relationships and partnerships developed with leading international design research institutes (such as the Venice International University, the Chicago Art Institute and others), allows the company to offer constantly cutting-edge design. This multiplicity of skills makes it possible to develop the projects integrally, from the conception of the idea to the industrialisation of the product. The company, conceived and organised as a ‘Design Industry’, offers its customers in Europe, Asia and the United States transversal partnership formulas tailored to their specific needs and size. In many cases (especially with some of the largest fashion houses) multi-year projects have been launched. One of the most prestigious of the company’s many successful collaborations is with the famous Pirelli PZero footwear company, which combines the technological innovation of materials and shapes with a design that is easily recognisable and able to increase the strength of the brand.
In 2014 Europa Investimenti, through the subsidiary Cose Belle d’Italia S.p.A., concluded a multi-year partnership agreement with the entrepreneur Alberto Del Biondi, leading to the acquisition on the part of Cose Belle d’Italia of a majority stake in the company, acting as financial partner and reinforcing the central role of the entrepreneur in the strategic and operational management of the business.
While increasing the skills and entrepreneurial passion of Alberto del Biondi, the partnership aims to create, through the aggregation of historical brands and companies, a major centre of Italian design.
